The CaseIH CX80 is a 2WD or 4WD utility tractor from the CX Utility series. This tractor was manufactured by CaseIH in Doncaster, England from 1998 to 2002. The CaseIH CX80 is equipped with a 4.0 L (243.5 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: a synchro shuttle transmission with 8 forward and 8 reverse gears and dry disc clutch or a partial power shift transmission with 16 forward and 8 reverse gears and dry disc clutch.
The CaseIH CX80 utility tractor used the Perkins 1004.40T engine. It is a 4.0 L, 3,990 cm2, (243.5 cu·in) four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with 100.0 mm (3.94 in) of the cylinder bore and 127.0 mm (5 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 17.25:1. This engine produced 85.1 PS (62.6 kW; 84.0 HP) at 2,200 rpm of output power and 343.1 N·m (35 kg·m, 252.9 ft·lb) at 1,400 rpm or torque.
The CaseIH CX80 is equipped with hydrostatic power steering, differential hydraulic wet disc brakes, two-post ROPS with flat platform or cab (optional), and 159.0 liters (42 US gal.; 35 Imp. gal) fuel tank. This tractor could be equipped with the CaseIH 2255 loader.
