The New Holland 1520 is a 2WD or 4WD compact utility tractor from the Twenty Compact series. This tractor was manufactured by Shibaura for distributor New Holland in Japan from 1996 to 1998. The New Holland 1520 is equipped with a 1.3 L (81.2 cu·in) three-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: a gear type transmission with 9 forward and 3 reverse gears or a hydrostatic transmission with infinite (3-range) forward and reverse gears.
The New Holland 1520 compact utility tractor used the Shibaura J843 engine. It is a 1.3 L, 1,330 cm2, (81.2 cu·in) three-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 84.0 mm (3.31 in) of the cylinder bore and 80.0 mm (3.15 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 23.0:1. This engine produced 23.4 PS (17.2 kW; 23.0 HP) at 2,500 rpm of output power.
The NH 1520 is equipped with power steering, wet disc brakes, an open operator station with two-post ROPS, and 27.0 liters (7.1 US gal.; 5.9 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
