The John Deere 6140D is a 4WD utility tractor from the 6D series. This tractor was manufactured by John Deere in Saltillo, Mexico from 2008 to 2016. This second generation was manufactured from 2013 to 2016. The John Deere 6140D is equipped with a 4.5 L (276.0 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and one of three transmissions: a partially synchronized transmission with 9 forward and 9 reverse gears, a partially synchronized transmission with 12 forward and 12 reverse gears or a partially synchronized transmission with 24 forward and 12 reverse gears.
