The Ford 2600 is a 2WD (two-wheel drive) utility tractor manufactured by Ford from 1975 to 1981.
The Ford 2600 is equipped with one of two engines: a 2.6 L (158.0 cu·in) three-cylinder diesel engine or a 2.6 L (158.0 cu·in) three-cylinder gasoline engine and one of three transmission variants. Both engines were manufactured by Ford.
The tractor could be equipped with the following engines:
- Ford. It is a 2.6 L, 2,589 cm2, (158.0 cu·in) three-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 107.0 mm (4.21 in) of the cylinder bore and 97.0 mm (3.82 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 17.3:1. This engine produced 37 PS (27.2 kW; 36.5 HP) at 2,000 rpm of output power.
- Ford. It is a 2.6 L, 2,589 cm2, (158.0 cu·in) three-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine. The cylinder bore is 107.0 mm (4.21 in) and the piston stroke is 97.0 mm (3.82 in). The compression ratio rating is 7.75:1. This engine produced 36 PS (26.5 kW; 35.5 HP) at 2,000 rpm of output power.
The Ford 2600 is equipped with manual or power (option) steering, differential mechanical expanding shoe brakes, open operator station or two-post ROPS (optional), and 49.2 liters (13 US gal.; 10.8 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
