The Farmall 450 is a 2WD row-crop tractor from manufactured by Farmall (a part of International Harvester) from 1956 to 1958.
The Farmall 450 is equipped with one of two engines: a 4.6 L (281.0 cu·in) four-cylinder gasoline/LP-gas engine or a 4.6 L (281.0 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and a partial power shift transmission with 10 forward and 2 reverse gears and with dry disc clutch.
The tractor could be equipped with the following engines:
- International Harvester C281. It is a 4.6 L, 4,605 cm2, (281.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline/LP-gas engine with 105.0 mm (4.13 in) of the cylinder bore and 133.0 mm (5.24 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 6.6:1 for gasoline version or 8.35:1 for LP-gas version.
- International Harvester. It is a 4.6 L, 4,605 cm2, (281.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine. The cylinder bore is 105.0 mm (4.13 in) and the piston stroke is 133.0 mm (5.24 in). The compression ratio rating is 17.45:1.
The Farmall 450 is equipped with power assist steering, mechanical disc brakes, an Open operator station, and 79.5 liters (21 US gal.; 17.5 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
