J.I. Case 830The J.I. Case 830 is a 2WD standard-tread tractor from the 830 series. This tractor was manufactured by J.I. Case in Racine, Wisconsin, USA from 1960 to 1969. The Case 830 is equipped with a 4.9 L (301.0 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: a gear type transmission with 8 forward and 2 reverse gears and dry disc clutch or a torque converter transmission with 8 forward and 2 reverse gears and wet disc clutch.

The Case 830 tractor used the J.I. Case engine. It is a 4.9 L, 4,932 cm2, (301.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 111.0 mm (4.37 in) of the cylinder bore and 127.0 mm (5 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 15.0:1.

The Case 830 is equipped with power assist steering, mechanical dry disc brakes, an open operator station, and 83.3 liters (22 US gal.; 18.3 Imp. gal) fuel tank.

  1. was trying to figurer out why my 3 point hitch will not lower in a 1960″s case 831 dual range arms will not lower not sure what to do like your manuals guess start by getting one hope it answers my problem
