The Cub Cadet 86 is a 2WD lawn and garden tractor from the 1X8/1X9 series. This tractor was manufactured by Cub Cadet (a part of International Harvester) in Louisville, Kentucky, USA from 1971 to 1974. The Cub Cadet 86 is equipped with a 0.3 L (18.6 cu·in) single-cylinder gasoline engine and one of two transmissions: a gear type transmission with dry disc clutch (3 forward and 1 reverse gear) or a gear type transmission with creeper and dry disc clutch (6 forward and 2 reverse gears).
