The Ford 1220 is a 2WD or 4WD compact utility tractor from the Twenty Compact series. This tractor was manufactured by Shibaura for Ford in Japan from 1987 to 1999. The Ford 1220 is equipped with a 1.0 L three-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: gear type transmission with 9 forward and 3 reverse gears or hydrostatic transmission with infinite (2-range) forward and reverse gears.
The Ford 1220 compact utility tractor used the Shibaura S753 engine. It is a 1.0 L, 954 cm2, (58.2 cu·in) three-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 75.0 mm (2.95 in) of the cylinder bore and 72.0 mm (2.83 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 23.0:1. The S753 diesel engine produced 17.3 PS (12.7 kW; 17.0 HP) at 2,500 rpm of output power.
