The Ford 550 is a 2WD backhoe loader tractor manufactured by Ford from 1975 to 1978.
The Ford 550 is equipped with one of two engines: a 3.3 L (201.0 cu·in) three-cylinder diesel engine or a 3.3 L (201.0 cu·in) three-cylinder gasoline engine and one of two transmissions: a torque converter transmission with 4 forward and 4 reverse gears or a gear type transmission with 6 forward and 4 reverse gears and dry disc clutch.
