The J.I. Case 580 CK Construction King is a 2WD backhoe-loader tractor manufactured by J.I. Case from 1966 to 1971.
The J.I. Case 580 CK Construction King is equipped with one of two engines: the J.I. Case G188 – 3.1 L (188.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine or the J.I. Case G159 – 2.6 L (159.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine and one of two transmissions: a synchronized shuttle transmission with 8 forward and 8 reverse gears or a power shuttle with 4 forward and 4 reverse gears and a hydraulic clutch transmission.
The tractor could be equipped with the following engines:
- J.I. Case G188. It is a 3.1 L, 3,080 cm2, (188.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 97.0 mm (3.82 in) of the cylinder bore and 105.0 mm (4.13 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 17.5:1. This engine produced 52.8 PS (38.8 kW; 52.0 HP) at 2,100 rpm of output power and 188.5 N·m (19.2 kg·m, 138.9 ft·lb) at 1,350 rpm of peak torque.
- J.I. Case G159. It is a 2.6 L, 2,606 cm2, (159.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine. The cylinder bore is 89.0 mm (3.5 in) and the piston stroke is 105.0 mm (4.13 in). The compression ratio rating is 7.42:1. This engine produced 52.8 PS (38.8 kW; 52.0 HP) at 2,100 rpm of output power.
