The John Deere 112L tractor used an air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke Kawasaki FB460V gasoline engine with vertical PTO shaft. The FB460V engine has an L-head design with two valves; transistorized flywheel magneto ignition system; float type carburetor with fixed main jet and mechanical governor.
