The John Deere 4710 is a 4WD compact utility tractor from the 4000 Ten Compact series. This tractor was manufactured by John Deere in Augusta, Georgia, USA from 2003 to 2004. The JD 4710 is equipped with a 2.2 L four-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: power shuttle transmission with 12 forward and 12 reverse gears or hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse gears.
The John Deere 4710 compact utility tractor used the Yanmar 4TNE88 engine. It is a 2.2 L, 2,196 cm2, (134.0 cu·in) four-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine with 88.0 mm (3.46 in) of the cylinder bore and 90.0 mm (3.54 in) of the piston stroke. The JD 4710 is equipped with hydrostatic power steering, wet disc brakes, open operator station with ROPS and 47.3 liters (12.5 US gal.; 10.4 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
