The John Deere 5090R is a 4WD utility tractor from the 5R series. This tractor has been manufactured by John Deere in Augusta, Georgia, USA since 2009, this second generation has been manufactured since 2017. The John Deere 5090R is equipped with a 4.5 L (276.0 cu·in) four-cylinder diesel engine and one of two transmissions: a four-speed power shift transmission with 16 forward and 16 reverse gears or a eight-speed power shift transmission with 32 forward and 16 reverse gears.
The JD 5090R utility tractor used the John Deere PowerTech PWX engine. It is a 4.5 L, 4,523 cm2, (276.0 cu·in) four-cylinder wastegate turbocharged diesel engine with 106.0 mm (4.17 in) of the cylinder bore and 127.0 mm (5 in) of the piston stroke. This engine produced 91.3 PS (67.1 kW; 90.0 HP) at 2,200 rpm of output power.
