- From 2013 to 2017: Briggs & Stratton 44. It is a 0.7 L, 724 cm2, (44.2 cu·in) V-Twin gasoline engine with 79.0 mm (3.11 in) of cylinder bore and 73 mm (2.87 in) of piston stroke. This engine produced 22.3 PS (16.4 kW; 22 HP) of maximum output power.
The JD D140 is equipped with manual steering, mechanical shoe on transaxle brakes, open operator station and 15.1 liters (4 US gal.; 3.3 Imp. gal) fuel tank, version for California used 9.1 liters (2.4 US gal) fuel tank.
