The John Deere GT225 is a 2WD lawn and garden tractor from the GT200 series. This tractor was manufactured by the John Deere in Horicon, Wisconsin, USA from 1999 to 2003.
The John Deere GT225 is equipped with one of two engines: the Kohler CV15S (from the start of production until 2002) or the Kohler CV460S (from 2002 until the end of production) and hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse gears.
The JD GT225 is equipped with the manual sector and pinion steering, open operator station, and 10.4 liters (2.7 US gal.; 2.3 Imp. gal) fuel tank.
The tractor could be equipped with the following engines:
- Kohler CV15S. It is a 0.4 L, 426 cm2, (26.0 cu·in) single-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine with 90.0 mm (3.54 in) of the cylinder bore and 67.0 mm (2.64 in) of the piston stroke. This engine produced 15.2 PS (11.2 kW; 15.0 HP) of maximum output power.
- Kohler CV460S. It is a 0.5 L, 458 cm2, (27.9 cu·in) single-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline engine. The cylinder bore is 87.0 mm (3.43 in) and the piston stroke is 77.0 mm (3.03 in). This engine produced 16.2 PS (11.9 kW; 16.0 HP) of maximum output power.
