The John Deere X384 is a lawn and garden tractor from the John Deere X-series. The John Deere X384 garden tractor has been produced from 2016.
The John Deere X384 lawn tractor used the Kawasaki FS651V. It is a 726 cc (44.3 cu-in) V-twin 90° air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline engine with a vertical shaft. The FS651V has overhead V-valves, cast iron cylinder liners, and a spherical combustion chamber. The engine is equipped with the electronic spark ignition system, internally vented carburetor with fuel shut-off solenoid. It has a 78.0 mm (3.07 in) cylinder bore and 76.0 mm (2.99 in) piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 8.2:1. The Kawasaki FS651V produced 22.3 PS (16.4 kW; 22.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum horsepower and 53.3 Nm (5.4 kg·m; 39.3 ft·lb) at 2,000 rpm of torque.
The John Deere X384 tractor is equipped with the Kanzaki K58 (Tuff Torq K58) variable speed hydrostatic transmission (infinite forward and reverse), wet disc brakes and manual four-wheel steering. This tractor used open operator station, independent PTO-shaft with electric clutch and 12.5 L (3.3 US gal) fuel tank.

I bought a 2016 john deere x384 and had the deler install a mulching kit, the mower deck with the mulching kit on it is a big peice of crap,it will not cut the grass on the outer edge of the the deck and if you turn real sharp corner it leaves a 1in strip of uncut grass, it had 19 hours on it when i bought it in espt, of2021 now i noticed the mulching door wont stay shut.i talked to ajohn deere dearler and they say the have not heard of this problem before What can i do with this peice of john doo doo?
