The John Deere X465 is a lawn and garden tractor from the John Deere X-series. The John Deere X465 garden tractor was manufactured on factory in Horicon, Wisconsin, USA from 2002 to 2005.
The John Deere X 465 is equipped with the Kawasaki FH641D engine. The Kawasaki FH641D is a 0.68 l (675 cc, 41.19 cu-in) V-twin 90° air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline motor with the horizontal shaft. The FH641D has OHV (overhead valve design); cast-iron cylinder liners; twin-barrel, float type carburetor with fixed main jet; pulse type fuel pump and flywheel magneto transistor type ignition system. It has a 75.2 mm (2.96 in) cylinder bore and 76.0 mm (2.99 in) piston stroke. Compression ratio rating is 8.1:1. This engine produced 21.0 HP (15.7 kW) at 3,600 rpm of maximum horsepower.
The John Deere X465 is equipped with the Tuff Torq K92 shaft-driven hydrostatic transmission (infinite forward and reverse), internal wet disc brakes and hydrostatic power steering (four-wheel steering on X465 AWS version). This tractor used open operator station, rear PTO-shaft and 24.6 L (6.5 US gal.) fuel tank.
