The John Deere X495 is a 2WD lawn and garden tractor from the HDGT X series. This tractor was manufactured by the John Deere in Horicon, Wisconsin, USA from 2002 to 2005.
The John Deere X495 is equipped with one of two engines: a 1.0 L three-cylinder diesel engine or a 1.1 L three-cylinder diesel engine and shaft-driven hydrostatic transmission with infinite forward and reverse gears. This lawn tractor was available in all-wheel steering version: X495AWS.

- Yanmar 3TNV76. It is a 1.1 L, 1,116 cm2, (68.1 cu·in) three-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine. The cylinder bore is 76.0 mm (2.99 in) and the piston stroke is 82.0 mm (3.22 in). The compression ratio rating is 23.4:1This engine produced 24.3 PS (17.9 kW; 24.0 HP) at 3,425 rpm of horsepower.
