The Oliver 1850 is a 2WD or 4WD row-crop tractor from the 50 series. This tractor was manufactured by Oliver from 1964 to 1969.
The Oliver 1850 is equipped with one of two engines: a 5.1 L (310.0 cu·in) six-cylinder gasoline or LP-gas engine or a 5.8 L (354.0 cu·in) six-cylinder diesel engine and one of three transmissions: an unsynchronized gear transmission with dry disc clutch and 6 forward and 2 reverse gears, a partial powershift transmission with dry disc clutch and 12 forward and 4 reverse gears or a partial power shift transmission with 18 forward and 6 reverse gears.
The tractor could be equipped with the following engines:
- Waukesha-Oliver. It is a 5.1 L, 5,080 cm2, (310.0 cu·in) six-cylinder natural aspirated gasoline or LP-gas engine with 98.0 mm (3.86 in) of the cylinder bore and 111.0 mm (4.37 in) of the piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 8.5:1 for gasoline version or 9.0:1 for LP-gas version. The gasoline version of this engine produced 93.3 PS (68.6 kW; 92.0 HP) of PTO output power and LP-gas version produced 91.3 PS (67.1 KW; 90.0 HP) of PTO output power.
- Perkins. It is a 5.8 L, 5,801 cm2, (354.0 cu·in) six-cylinder natural aspirated diesel engine. The cylinder bore is 99.0 mm (3.9 in) and the piston stroke is 127.0 mm (5 in). The compression ratio rating is 16.0:1. This engine produced 93.3 PS (68.6 kW; 92.0 HP) of PTO output power.
The Oliver 1850 tractor is equipped with power assist steering, differential disc brakes, open operator station or Oliver Continental Cab (optional).
